Shift Supervisor Raise Drilling

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
· Effective planning, organising, control and team supervision to achieve production targets
· Instil a safety culture and coordinate raise drilling safety activities
· Conduct legal inspections in line with the legal appointment
· Coordinate raise drilling activities, logistical activities and resources through effective planning, scheduling and communications
· Effective stakeholder engagement at all levels internally and externally
· Achieve monthly targets in terms of production and safety
· Effectively complete administration tasks and safety
· Proactive risk identification and mitigation in alignment with legal regulations, the client’s and Cementation Africa’s standards, procedures and policies
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
· Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
· Project Management Certificate at NQF5 or similar (advantageous)
· COMSOC 1 & 2 (advantageous)
· Competency A & B certificate
· Certified competent as a Raise Drilling Operator
· License to Supervise Certificate or equivalent supervisory certificate.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office [MS Projects, PowerPoint, Word and Excel]
· Valid Driver’s License and passport
· Good English written and verbal communication skills
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
· At least 5 years of experience in raise drilling operations in a supervisory capacity
· Experience working in an underground mining environment
· Knowledge of all types of Raise Drilling operations
· Knowledge of compiling risk assessment and safe working procedures
