Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
· Effective supervision of the underground and surface Grout Plant crews
· Effective planning, leading, organising and control within area of responsibility to achieve daily production, quality and safety targets
· Cost containment through effective budget management and efficient target achievement
· Accurate and timely reporting
· Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows and target achievement
· Efficient achievement of production and quality targets in line with DMR and project scope
· Ensure cost containment in section
· Understand and comply with company policies, procedures, standards and safety protocols
· Effective self-management in alignment with the company values
Minimum requirements
· Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4
· Charge hand Grout Plant Certificate, Competent A Certificate
· Possess either a recognised Shift Supervisor Certificate (includes Planning, Leading,
· Organising and Control) or a similar Supervisory Skills Certificate
· Blasting Certificate / Trade Certificate / Technical Diploma / Project Management
Certificate (preferred)
· COMSOC 1 and 2 (advantageous)
· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)
· Valid EB Driver’s License & No criminal record
· Numeracy skills to perform basic arithmetic calculations
· Good English written and verbal communication skills
· Physically fit to work underground, must have high heat tolerance
· At least 5 years of experience as a Charge hand Grout Plant
· Exposure acting as a Shift Supervisor Grout Plant (advantageous)
· Experience compiling risk assessments and safe working
· Experience conducting planned inspections
· Sound knowledge of Grout Plant operations, equipment and methods
