Introduction
Emgodini Mining Services invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Auto Electrician to be placed in Rietberg Mine, near Springbok Northern Cape. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Foreman.
The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates.

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Effective execution of maintenance according to job card and maintenance schedules
Cost containment through effective planning, no rework, availability of materials and equipment
Adherence to schedules, standards, procedures and OEM specifications
Comply with the lock out systems required on machinery and equipment
Adhere to the company’s policies, procedures and standards
Effective and timeous stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows
Effective self and team management in alignment with the company values and leadership initiatives
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
-Grade 12 or equivalent
-Section 26 Auto-Electrician Trade Certificate, or MIETTB (Mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board)Certificate through a registered body, e.g:
(i) Olifantsfontein, pre 1994
(ii) ESTC (Engineering Skills Training Centre) James Park
(iii)GFA (Goldfields Training Academy)
- Contract of Apprenticeship signed off by employer and Department of Manpower
-Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
- Valid First aid Certificate
- Methane Test/Certificate
- Valid Code EB driver's licence
-Section 26 Auto-Electrician Trade Certificate, or MIETTB (Mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board)Certificate through a registered body, e.g:

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- Minimum 3 years of post qualification experience, preferably in a trackless mining environment
- Sound understanding of the auto-electrical functions of trackless equipment
- Sound understanding of the auto-electrical functions of trackless equipment
