Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
- Engineering equipment is maintained and repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
- Compliance with SHEQ, company and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
- Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs
- Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows
- Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
- Effective self and team supervision in alignment with the company's values and leadership initiatives
Minimum requirements
-Section 26 Fitter Trade Certificate / MIETTB (Mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board)
Trade Certificate through a registered body, e.g.:(i) Olifantsfontein, pre 1994
(ii) ESTC (Engineering Skills Training Centre) James Park
(iii)GFA (Goldfields Training Academy)
- Contract of Apprenticeship signed off by employer and Department of Manpower
- Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
- Valid First aid Certificate
- Valid Code EB driver's license
- 5 year's trade experience as a Fitter
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, conveyors and inspections [Advanced preferred]
- OEM training on specific machines
