Cementation Africa invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Training Instructor (Site) to be placed in Tharisa Mine. The successful candidate will report to the Senior ETD Officer. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.

• Effective planning, organising and delivery of training outcomes as defined in the training service level agreement for the specific project
• Conduct training in a fair, valid, reliable, and practicable manner, that is, free of all bias and discrimination
• Organise and prepare resources, schedules, venues, learning instruments, and documentation for scope of training within set parameters
• Timeously notify participants of arrangements and confirm their availability.
• Identify gaps and address shortfalls though developmental and/or corrective coaching in line with schedule and site requirements, no interruptions to production / delays due to improper planning
• Conduct quality checks on training instruments and escalate to ETD Officer / Coordinator if damaged.
• Ensure candidates understand the entire process and the criteria that apply to assist with their planning and accumulation of evidence.
• Provide accurate daily progress reports to the ETD Assessor / Officer / Coordinator.
• Compile and submit learner portfolios of evidence timeously and maintain effective record keeping
• Effective stakeholder engagement with team, site employees, learners, and client representatives to facilitate and deliver full performance
• Conduct weekly meetings with clients to provide feedback on progress and variances.
• Attend and participate in project meetings related to area of responsibility
• Proactive risk identification and mitigation in compliance with SETA / QCTO regulations and company procedures, policies, standards and safety protocols
• Effective self-management in alignment with company values
  

• Minimum 1 year of technical skills experience in scope of instruction
• Minimum 3 years Instructor training experience in scope of instruction
• Experience in the facilitation of a training cycle
• Experience in learner portfolio management
